Re: Releases
datum, data ok ok, I am the latin fellow ! I thought americans would prefer a "s".. ;-) 2:1? 2 (pilot+glider) : 1 (microlight) I received a part of the answer I asked: Our tug release is an AIR CREATION U39302A http://www.flickr.com/photos/psucvollibre/5852630030/ https://farm4.staticflic...
Re: Releases
WL and Sailplane AT
I discovered today that in France in AT with Sailplane, no wl are used at all !!, except...
the tow rope: 1500daN max
and glider weight: 750kg max
so rope is a 2G MINIMUM weaklink

Re: Releases
Is that possible? It should be as your shearlink..Bridlelink with an overlap of 3 strands ?
I could put the single strand on the opposite side of the release (yes I know you prefer 2 releases) with an eye at its end?
Re: Releases
Yeah no matter, the other side will blow immediately in case of a wrap.. Sorry, I write before thinking !Asymmetrical break of a bridlelink with a long side to the webbing loop

Re: Releases
Bridlelink I made an another 6+6 which had an asymmetrical break @98kg ! good, same load but.. asymmetrical breack was not what I expected to keep the interest of a bridlelink even more if I build the asymmetrical bridlelink I wanted (to be attached directly to the webbing loop of the harness..) He...

I haven't ..
Re: Releases
My numbers for the Bridle Links are for the TOWLINE TENSIONS at which they will blow when towing one point (pilot only). If you got 97 kilograms end to end you'd have twice that - 194 kg - in flight. I should take more time before to write !! Happy to have the key now to build bridlelinks, is that ...
Re: Releases
Hi, Bridlelink I was trying to build my first bridlelink yesterday night and my test results wasn't the ones I should expect.. (example 6+6 = 97kg, directly tested) I observed that stitched bindings weren't enough parallel all together to distribute the tension evenly. I miss the right way to stitch...
Re: Releases
I re-try to read Bridle link on mousetraps, I think I have 10 years old now ! I understood and it wasn't so hard. I bought dental string today but the thief of pharmacist told me "floss" doesn't exist anymore since ..I wasn't born. False! and give me this one: http://www.cocooncenter.co.uk...
